“Colon cancer is operable even if stuck to the operating table!!” is the dictum on lighter note. We are presenting a case of descending colon cancer which was infiltrating into a loop of ileum, omentum and posterior abdominal wall. Although CT scan reasonably showcases the anatomy, most of these cases need planning after laparotomy only. Considering bowel preparation was not given in view of subacute obstruction, avoiding a diversion stoma for a left sided colonic resection needed a lot of precision and courage. Our patient had uneventful post operative course and was discharged within a week.
