An artist has arrange a public artwork set up in Washington consisting of greater than 200,000 white flags, every representing one loss of life from Covid-19 in the US. The artist behind the commemoration, Suzanne Brennan Firstenberg, began putting flags close to RFK Stadium within the US capital on October 19, 2020. The set up was anticipated to stay in place for about two weeks.
