• Symptomatic hernia (rare)

Procedure

1. Stab incision below umbilicus
2. Develop plane
3. Identify hernia sac
4. Divide sac from skin, open sac, reduce hernia
5. Close defect transversely
6. Close defect with interrupted absorbable sutures
