I’m officially done with Step 1!!! It’s been a long few months of studying, but I wanted to share my full USMLE Step 1 experience along with my practice exam scores. Part 2 linked below!
When I was in dedicated, it seemed like every medical student on YouTube scored a 260+ on their first practice test and that was definitely not me. I started at a low baseline, but slowly worked my way up and saw big jumps in my scores! In this video, I go through my USMLE Step 1 study plan, how COVID completely changed my study schedule, and my *REAL* master log of what I did every single day for the past 6 months.
For those of you in dedicated right now, I hope that this helps you see that not everyone starts out in the 99th percentile and that you can improve a ton in a short amount of time. Everyone’s journey is different, but always remember that this is a marathon, not a sprint. Take care of yourself, enjoy the learning process, and trust that your hard work will pay off in the end. 🙂
