The Cambodian government has ordered a two-week closure of all private schools, museums and the capital’s Phnom Penh Hotel following a cluster of cases related to a woman was confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus on November 28, 2020. Officials said the 56-year-old was linked to 17 of the country’s first locally transmitted Covid-19 cases. While the many other countries have been hit by the coronavirus pandemic with over 60 million cases confirmed in the world, Cambodia is considered to be one of the least-impacted countries by the disease, with 326 cases confirmed as of December 1.
